The ambiguous ambition
There can be many things one wants to do be it fashion designing, Interior designing, writing, Medicine, Engineering.
Although, we have limited options to chose from in a lifetime. EIther, we master one particularly or we chose to decide to move from one field to another in a short span of time. some people get bored with only one piece of ambition and they might have not thought that what they wanted to get into is not as interesting as they thought it would.
I am not here to give a piece of advice to stick to one field and follow passion so to become successful. My mantra in life is to do what makes you feel happy and contented. Life is a learning and many people make careers out of things they were put into early. Sometimes, it is just the backup they had or they are grown with. Like a son of a Doctor decides to become one and a daughter of politician decides to become one and they become successful in the fields they were early put into as they had a better understanding of the field and the knowledge available from the beginning but what about the son of a security guard or maybe a driver. They do not have enough resources to understand what they want to become in the early stages. Yes, there is a hand few of them who are smart but what about the normal kids.
Is it bad to have an ambiguous ambition?
People are in general confusion about what they do. Life just happens too many people and some are privileged to take a better education to make it to the top but does that mean the other people are just dumb? I don't think so. the people who are successful except few who made on their terms has anyone ever seen the background of them like, they must have been offered a private education, private tutor or even they didn't have to take up part-time jobs to pay their tuition fees so they could focus on better grades.
The point, I am trying to make here is to not judge a book by just its cover. Read the book first and understand the capability of a person. Mere degrees, should not decide the capability of an individual. Yes, education is important but then more than education the enthusiasm of an individual to learn and progress is what makes the person different.
Life is short to have limited learning, we ask our children to explore things and when they actually want to explore different fields we stop them stating they are not focused. I like multi-tasking. I have experience in Finance & accounting background but I like to learn different things moving from Finance to may be Marketing, HR but when I apply to different Jobs we are judged that we are confused. why, does society has to judge when a person likes and wants to explore different things and fields in one life. Some thing to think about!!!
